I imagine you will have been struck and perhaps even troubled by the deliberately "strong" title of this publication ...In jail? Really, but imagine ... we are in Italy ..
Well we wrote this guide precisely to give a wake up call to those who still persist in considering drones as toys and therefore refuse to fulfill legal obligations.
In Italy, if you violate the aviation regulations related to drones, you can GET ONECRIMINAL SANCTION OF 1 YEAR OF ARREST and ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS UP TO € 100,000 (one hundred thousand euros !!). This is the naked truth and there is no escaping it, just look at the handbook of sanctions currently in use by the Police forces that you find in the Appendix).
Having said that, there is no longer even the justification for the high costs of courses, insurance and various registrations ... TODAY, with the advent of the EASA regulation, it costs VERY LITTLE to comply with it and is extremely SIMPLE and FAST! Flying like criminals doesn't make any sense.
